  2. bilas (bee-las)

if A is my husband, and B is my husband's brother or sister, B's spouse is my bilas.

there probably is an english word for that, but i don't know. don't hesitate to teach me, okay?

will give you example next time, one word at a time, as they occur to me.

  3. nalipasan ng gutom

literally translated, "passed by hunger". maybe, but i'm not sure.

anyway, it's a phrase that we use to describe some kind of a syndrome. all those symptoms you feel when after a long time without eating, you finally eat, and when you're done, you get all kinds ofweird sensations like abdominal pain/cramping, bloating, nausea, gas, etc.

it's money one gives away to other people after winning/receiving cash from something/someone. could be from gambling, contests, large monetary gifts, etc.
