"Suppose you're thinking about a plate of shrimp. Suddenly someone will say 'plate' or 'shrimp' or 'plate of shrimp,' out of the blue. No explanation and there's no point in looking for one either. It's all part of the cosmic unconsciousness."

The Cat in Catholic
This is an image from the most wonderful and ancient Book of Kells, which is probably about a thousand years old. It appears to show a mouse gnawing on a communion wafer. Hence the importance of church cats.
Maybe that is what it is all about eating that which is good for you (the mouse) which is eating something in my mind not good for you (communion with religion, or a "higher" spiritual authority rather than the ever elusive Self).

ReplyDeleteThat is awesome! Love the "disapproving" expression on the cats' face.
