Oh, come on, Shrimplate!
Why mention little minor inconsequential issues like Iraq (or for that matter energy, health care or global warming) when you can debate the really big, all-encompassing, important issues that are really going to affect everyone's life, like flag burning, the death penalty and gay marriage!
